An interview with ChatGPT

I thought for a change, I would do an article on Artificial Intelligence or AI. Rather than give my own views, I thought I would interview ChatGPT and see what it had to say.

So there you have it. An article largely created by a machine. There are major risks associated with AI that many people cannot see being controlled. Although GPT seems bland enough imagine if it was programmed by a Donald Trump. All the answers were skewed to give a conspiracy-theory or extreme right-wing answer. Remember there will be lots of AI-type applications so you can choose which one. Probably the one that echoes your views.

Is it a novelty, or does it have a real-world use? Here is an example. I was reading a book about early Australia. I was getting confused about the sequence of Governors and when they were in power. I asked GPT for a one-page list of the first ten Governors, the dates of their appointment, and a summary of their achievements. I just used it as a bookmark and a quick reference as I read the book. All done in less than a minute.
